AMMIH Chapter 19.3 -- Brother

After waiting for a long time, the response to her on the other side of the phone was only a busy tone that was temporarily unavailable.

Huang Ling didn't know that as soon as Zhou Chengze's cell phone rang, it was snatched by others. He was sitting in a car, and the car was parked at the end of a road in the city that was being built. Sitting in the driver's seat was the man who had handed the letter to him earlier, he calls himself Xu Dafan. As soon as he heard Zhou Chengze's phone ringing, he grabbed it first without saying anything, and put it out of reach of Zhou Chengze: "You can't answer the phone before Zhou Kaiming comes, he gave the order before."

What kind of unwritten rule is this? No matter how eager Zhou Chengze was to see Zhou Kaiming, he felt something was wrong. The car door was unlocked, and he opened the door abruptly and was about to rush out, but as soon as he stepped out one leg, he looked up and saw a familiar figure walking towards the car.

It was a middle-aged man in a suit and leather shoes, dressed meticulously from head to toe, walking straight up his chest, and at first glance he looked like those high-paid white-collar workers. However, whether it was the dark complexion or the standard rectangular face, Zhou Chengze recognized at a glance that this man was his brother Zhou Kaiming who had been missing for eight years.

Originally he thought he was fooled but he didn't expect to really see him. Zhou Chengze's action of grabbing the door and fleeing suddenly stopped: "Brother!"

Zhou Kaiming nodded to him, walked forward quickly, opened the door and sat in the back seat of the car, and then smiled at Zhou Chengze who was back in the car: "It's been a long time, Xiao Ze." Then he gestured to the driver's seat. Xu Dafan said, "Drive." Then he smiled soothingly at Zhou Chengze, "Brother will take you to lunch first."

After really meeting him, Zhou Chengze was completely at ease. He had too many questions to ask Zhou Kaiming, but when he heard the other party's quick arrangements, the first reaction was to blurt out and ask him: "Brother, when did your stutter get better?"

"Got better a long time ago." Zhou Kaiming raised his hand and patted his head like he did when he was a child. "There are a lot of things. I will tell you slowly later."

The phrase "later" inexplicably made Zhou Chengze anxious. He still persevered in asking him various questions, but Zhou Kaiming did not answer positively, only constantly circumventing the topic in an attempt to divert Zhou Chengze's attention. This allowed Zhou Chengze to discover that Zhou Kaiming not only stopped stuttering, but also became very capable of playing tricks.

They randomly found a restaurant nearby for dinner. Zhou Kaiming ordered two bottles of liquor. Facing Zhou Chengze's endless inquiries, he still refused to respond. Instead, he kept looking for reasons to drown Zhou Chengze with wine. Zhou Chengze didn't have much tolerance with alcohol to begin with, thus after drinking a few sips of liquor, he became drunk and unconscious shortly after.

It was night after he woke up, and his surroundings were dim, and he had a splitting headache. He found that he was lying on the hard floor, so he sat up with difficulty, looked around as he pressed his temples, and quickly judged that he was in a room of a small house about 80 square meters in area, he should have been sleeping on the wooden floor of the living room. The living room is connected to the kitchen and a bedroom, and ropes are pulled everywhere to dry clothes. There are six or seven people sitting in several corners, men and women, gathering under the light of charging lamps to play poker.

A woman noticed that Zhou Chengze woke up, and hurried forward enthusiastically: "You woke up?"

He was still rubbing his painful temples, only feeling that the noise made him uncomfortable, so he nodded and asked directly: "Where is Zhou Kaiming, please?"

"Oh, he told you to live here first, and he will pick you up in two days."

In two days? Zhou Chengze raised his eyes and looked around again. He probably guessed that all the people in the house lived here, and knew that he couldn't be used to living here. He frowned and pressed his temples, holding his hands on the floor and trying to stand up, "I want to go back first."

"Oh no, no, you have to wait for him here!" At this moment, the two men rushed over and pressed him back as they spoke.

Zhou Chengze realized that just because of his action, everyone in the room gathered here. His paralyzed brain finally woke up, and once again scanned the whole room, he noticed that all the windows were installed with wire anti-theft nets, and the only door was closed tightly, thinking it should be locked.

This is a trap. He came to realize. But what does Zhou Kaiming have to do with this?

"Can you give me a glass of water?" For the time being, he can only get these people relax their vigilance. Zhou Chengze made the appearance that he no longer intends to leave, and then reached out and pressed his temple, "I drank too much alcohol, and I feel uncomfortable."

The woman who spoke to him first went to the kitchen and poured him a glass of water.

The tip of Zhou Chengze's nose approached the mouth of the cup and smelled a pungent odor. He is a leader in the field of chemistry, and he is very familiar with this smell, and knows that it is a cup of unburned tap water, and the chlorine is exceeding the standard. "I'm not used to drinking raw water," he put down the water glass out of instinct, "is there any mineral water?"

The three people surrounding him shook their heads, and he was about to get up again: "I'll go out and buy."

The two men pressed him back to the floor again, and their voices became tough: "No, we have a rule here, no one can go out without the permission of the dormitory leader!"

As soon as the voice fell, the closed door was opened from the outside. A large group of men and women poured into the house. Don't know who turned on the ceiling light in the living room. The dazzling light made Zhou Chengze close his eyes, and then he saw the people who rushed into the house. They had different clothes and were aged from sixteen to seventeen, the only thing they have in common is the excitement on their faces.

Many people ran up to him and shouted frantically: "Welcome to a new world! This is the greatest cause! All your goals can be achieved here!"

Zhou Chengze knew his situation instantly.

And what he has to face next is a whole night of torture...
