Hilarious Pampered Consort 127 - How badly do you want a divorce?

As a result, all three people provided the same answer: the small courtyard was indeed the place they were looking for, and the person residing in the courtyard was the one they sought. The only difference was that the owner of the courtyard was not present at the moment. Rumor had it that they had unknown whereabouts?

Then...

An hour later, as soon as Qu Tan'er and Jingxin stepped through the gates of the Eighth Prince's mansion, their news had already reached the ears of the master in the study of the Frost Pavilion.

"Master, the princess has returned," Yu Hao reported, bowing his head.

"Hmm," Mo Liancheng glanced at him indifferently, then continued to paint leisurely on the canvas.

"The princess left the palace and went directly to a small alley near the South City Gate. It seems she was looking for someone. After inquiring, I found out that the person she was looking for was a famous carpenter who had once crafted a bed for the Eighth Prince's residence."

"Is that bed the one in the Snow Pavilion?" Mo Liancheng's deep eyes flashed with confusion and curiosity. What secrets did that bed hold, and why was she so persistent in finding it?

"Yes," Yu Hao confirmed Mo Liancheng's guess.

"And then?"

"That person is not in the capital. The princess returned without finding him. However, while searching, she took an interest in a small courtyard and ended up buying it. I don't know the purpose."

"She bought a small courtyard?" Mo Liancheng raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Qutan'er's actions.

"Yes."

"Do you want me to stop her?" Yu Hao asked.

"No need, let her go. However, if she intends to hire people for that small courtyard, those individuals must be from my side," Mo Liancheng instructed.

"Understood." Yu Hao lowered his head and spoke no further.

"It's none of your concern, you may leave," Mo Liancheng waved his hand, signaling Yu Hao to depart.

Yu Hao left without saying much, slowly withdrawing.

Inside the room, calmness was restored, and the artist continued to paint the seemingly never-ending artwork. The content of the painting remained a mystery.

In the quiet of the Snow Pavilion late at night...

Qu Tan'er, who had been sleeping until midnight, shifted her position. Feeling a bit thirsty but unwilling to get up, she lazily opened her eyes just a crack. Through the dim light, she felt someone's presence... someone?

This surprise was not trivial. She immediately sat up.

"Who's there?!" She exclaimed, lifting the bed curtain.

Unexpectedly, Mo Liancheng was sitting silently at the table in the middle of the room.

Seeing him, Qu Tan'er inexplicably sighed in relief.

"Awake?" Mo Liancheng glanced at her, amused by her reaction.

"I thought it was a ghost. Next time you come in, please announce yourself in advance," Qu Tan'er teased.

"Why? Am I frightening?" Mo Liancheng raised an eyebrow, questioning her indirect accusation.

"Of course, ghosts usually appear at night."

"..." Mo Liancheng raised an eyebrow, wondering if he was being compared to a ghost.

Since the royal visitor had arrived, Qu Tan'er couldn't stay in bed any longer. She threw on an outer garment, sat cross-legged, and asked, "In the middle of the night, what brings Your Highness here?"

"Nothing, just... bored, so I came for a visit."

"Hehe, do you find this excuse convincing?"

Mo Liancheng's eyes flickered, and he smiled, "You... you seem a bit different today. Why not continue pretending?"
